On May 13, 2022, the UN Training Center for the Development of Parliamentarism of the Legislation and Parliamentary Research Institute under the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a seminar-training for deputy assistants of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan on “Deputy Assistant: foreign and national experience”.
Deputies and their assistants from the People’s Democratic Party Legislative Chamber of the Parliament attended thr seminar-training both online and offline.
The training was opened by the Director of the Legislation Research Institute F.Otakhanov, who made a presentation on “Activities and main directions of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.” In particular, information was provided on the development path, activities, main directions of the national parliament and the need to study and master foreign experience in this area, the professionalism of parliamentarians and the importance of ensuring continuous communication with the people.
Deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, member of the faction of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan F.Sharipov spoke on “The concept of a deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, its functions and activities.” He spoke about the specifics of the parliaments of foreign countries and the role of deputy assistants in the effectiveness of their activities.
The head of the Central Council of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan B.Yusupov gave a detailed explanation on “The relationship between the deputy and the party and the establishment of systemic relations”.
As a Moderator, G.Mahammadjanov, Head of the UN Training Center for the Development of Parliamentarism at the Legislation Research Institute, gave information on the topic of “Deputy Assistant: National and International Experience” and paid special attention to the acquisition of the necessary skills and abilities in the application of modern PR technologies, provided information on the process of mastering the procedures of international experience.
Questions and answers were organized on the topics which mentioned at the end of the seminar-training.
At the end of the event, participants shared their views and suggestions on improving the field.
